Objecteering supports communication diagrams, which express more or less the same semantics as sequence diagrams. Communication diagrams have a limited capacity when it comes to showing sequencing, choices or loops, or for being structured or for referencing themselves. They are used to illustrate architecture and its functioning principles, for example by illustrating which associations are used to circulate certain messages between different elements.
