St-Quentin-en-Yvelines – January 10th 2007 – Objecteering Software is pleased to announce the release of Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1, the first service pack available for Objecteering 6.0, a major new version of its Objecteering modeling tool. Incorporating the latest UML2 modeling and MDA developments for model-driven engineering, Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1 manages model consistency and traceability throughout the entire development cycle, from requirements, analysis and design through code generation, tests and application deployment.
In addition to supporting UML2, the latest version of the UML modeling language standardized by the OMG, Objecteering 6 also provides more than 260 dynamic, customizable consistency checks, making it easy to adapt its use to a project's specific user profiles or life cycle phases. This means that Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1 constantly checks the quality of UML2 models, thereby guaranteeing the quality of the deliverables resulting from model-based generation and transformation (PSM, documentation, code, makefiles…).
Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1’s ergonomics have been designed for even greater comfort of use when creating, associating, connecting, embedding, organizing and handling model elements. Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1 is resolutely diagram-oriented, thereby facilitating the editing and handling of UML2 modeling elements.
Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1 includes an extensive range of modules designed to support every modeling phase and several development targets. Requirements analysis is integrated into the tool, along with a business domain dictionary. Objecteering 6.0 Service Pack 1 incorporates a traceability management service through a dedicated graphical editor, and provides customizable document generation.

For example, the model can be used to easily define the code production line: code is then generated right up until its final deployment.
