Objecteering Software announces the availability of Java 5 support in version 5.30 Service Pack 2 of its Objecteering/UML model-driven development environment.

Objecteering/UML now supports the new standard Java 5 of Sun Microsystems in the latest version, 5.30 Service Pack 2, and also offers a new plug-in for the platform Eclipse 3 delivered with the packages « Objecteering/Java Developer » and « Objecteering/UML for Java ».

St-Quentin-en-Yvelines – 9 May 2005 – Objecteering Software announces the release of the Objecteering/UML 5.30 SP2 model-driven development environment, including a new version of the Objecteering/Java Developer module. This offers unequaled support for the software development lifecycle, ranging from requirements analysis to the implementation of applications in Java 5 (JDK 1.5).

Objecteering/UML, the first tool suite to implement the MDATM (Model Driven Architecture) approach, provides target-independent UML modeling capabilities along with the possibility of adapting the model and the code generation to methodologies and architectures dedicated to the technical context. Objecteering/Java Developer is part of this process, offering expert assistance in the development of Java/J2EE applications, and taking into account the latest evolutions of the language, for example, Generics, Enumerations, Static Imports, VarArgs, Annotations and Metadatas.

This new version of the tool suite is completed by its integration into the Eclipse 3 platform. This means that the Java/J2EE developer has the benefit of a model-oriented environment which, integrated into a programming-dedicated environment, combines the best support for UML modeling and for Java development, all this in an integrated function which ensures an automatic synchronization between the Java code and the UML model.

Development of applications in Java with Objecteering/UML integrated into Eclipse 3
